What is Pyeloplasty?
• A Pyeloplasty is the removal or repair of a stricture (narrowing) from the upper part of the ureter (a hollow muscular tube approximately 25cm long that transports urine from the kidney to the bladder).
• Failure to repair this abnormality usually results in substantial damage to the kidney tissue that can progress to kidney failure if left untreated.
